Born on January 25, 1943 in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

Educated at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio; Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio. Additionally, in his pursuit of understanding the human form, he studied Anatomy and Dissection at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts.

 

John Weidman is the co-founder and Artistic Director of the Andres Institute of Art sculpture park and walking trails located in Brookline, New Hampshire. He is also the Artistic Director of the Nashua Footprints International Sculpture Symposium, in Nashua, NH.

 

Weidman has been an innovator in the New Hampshire’s contemporary sculpture scene by sharing his multi-talented sculpture skills with international and newly emerging sculptors. He is generous with his time, and always helpful in promoting the arts. The Andres Institute of Art’s organization has become a flagship for national and international artists, as well as a cultural asset for the New England region, under Weidman’s leadership.
